In larger environments, it can be time consuming to manually install and configure the Kerio Outlook Connector (Offline Edition) with your Kerio Connect server. To simplify and speed up the process of deploying the Kerio Outlook Connector to your users, we’ve provided some handy tools.
Typically, the configuration involves two processes: the installation of the Kerio Outlook Connector, and the creation of the Outlook account. As you may have noticed, the Kerio Outlook Connector is available optionally as a Windows Installer package, or MSI. This means you can use Active Directory to roll out the installation of the Kerio Outlook Connector automatically.
Once the Kerio Outlook Connector is installed, you can use a similar policy in Active Directory to activate a tool called ProfileCreator.exe. This tool takes pre-configured parameters, which include the name of your Kerio Connect Server, the HTTPS port, and your secure password authentication preferences. For more information, refer to the Kerio online manual.
